Chris Eubank Jr hasn’t been far from the headlines this week after insulting both Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn.

However, Nex Gen will need to do his talking in the ring when he returns to action on a mammoth night of boxing in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

Eubank Jr will bid to continue his hunt for a world title showdown when colliding with Kamlin Szeremeta in his first fight with Boxxer.

Eubank has Sights Set on Canelo Showdown

It hasn’t been a straightforward 12 months for Eubank, but he must put all the talk away from the ring behind him when stepping back between the ropes in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

The former IBO super-middleweight champion has irked both Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn in the build up to his return, with this being his first fight since leaving the latter’s Matchroom stable.

Eubank at least comes into this bout with a win under his belt after scoring a stunning tenth-round TKO in a must-win showdown against Liam Smith last year.

Despite that, Next Gen remains at a cross-roads in his career, and a victory must be achieved this weekend if he is to have any hope of a potential showdown with Canelo Alvarez.

Szeremeta a Considerable Underdog this Weekend

Polish middleweight Szeremeta will be a massive outsider in the betting this weekend, despite being ranked as the seventh-best middleweight by The Ring.

He has previously challenged for the IBF and IBO middleweight championships, but he ultimately came up short of achieving his goal after suffering a seventh-round loss against Gennady Golovkin.

The Pole has been on the comeback trail since a second straight defeat in June 2021, but with mixed results.

Szeremeta has won four of his last six bouts, with his most recent outing ending in a controversial unanimous decision draw against Abel Mina in February.

Chris Eubank vs. Kamil Szeremeta Prediction

Both fighters will have a point to prove this weekend, and neither can afford another loss on their professional record.

However, Eubank’s return to form against Smith last year highlights that he could be back to his best. Therefore, the preference is for the Brit to land victory inside the distance on Saturday.
