Robocop is fighting again! Five months and 17 days after stopping Brad Tavares with a finish, Gregory Rodrigues will take on another knockout artist Christian Leroy Dunkan. The Robocop vs. CLR fight will take place in Manchester on July 27 as a part of the UFC 304 main card.

Before Betting on Robocop vs. CLD

Gregory Rodrigues (15-5) is a fan favorite who throws everything he’s got at his opponent in every single fight. He’s sometimes reckless, which has cost him a couple of times. In fact, three of his five losses happened by knockout/technical knockout.

When it comes to his wins, 10 happened by this method, including each of his last five wins. Robocop, who’s a BJJ black belt, also had three wins by submission, which is proof that he’s a very well-rounded fighter.

His opponent, on the other hand, is all about striking. Christian Leroy Dunkan (10-1) has a knockout-to-win ratio of 80%, with three TKO wins since coming to the UFC.

CLD lands 5.96 significant strikes a minute, which is almost as good as Robocop (6.08). Unlike Robocop, however, he tends to get hit way less. He absorbs 3.82 significant strikes a minute, while his UFC 304 opponent takes 5.30 hits every minute.

Robocop has a much better fight portfolio than CLD, but the Englishman has a couple of advantages over him. First of all, he’s fighting in his home country. Secondly, he’s had a full camp, while Rodrigues only had about three weeks to prepare for the fight as he stepped in as Robert Bryczek’s replacement.

All this explains why CLD vs. Robocop odds are very close. Nevertheless, our prediction is that the Brazilian will get the job done, and we think he’s gonna do it the best way he knows. Therefore, our pick is Rodrigues by knockout/technical knockout.
