Before Betting on Claressa Shields vs. Kelsey DeSantis
Claressa Shields is a boxing legend who’s one of only three boxers ever with four major boxing titles in two divisions. She’s undefeated in this sport with a 14-0 record.
However, boxing isn’t the only combat sport she’s been taking part in. Three years ago, she fought two MMA fights, winning one by a TKO and losing the other one by a split decision.
Fast-forward to February 24 and she’s fighting again. This time, her opponent is former US Marine Kelsey DeSantis.
She’s a Florida-based MMA fighter who’s only fought three professional fights in 35 years. DeSantis lost her first professional fight – in 2013 – after which she took a 10-year break. She made her comeback in September 2023 but lost again.
Just a month and one week later, she fought again. This time, she recorded her first-ever pro MMA win by beating her opponent with a first-round knockout.

Kelsey DeSantis seems to be here for the money and good time PFL can bring her. But she probably understands that the organization looks at her as a “tomato can” who’s there to get smashed by rising stars such as Claressa Shields.
Not only do we think Shields will beat DeSantis, but we think she’s gonna finish her by a KO/TKO quickly.
