Club Leon and Vancouver Whitecaps clash in the first round of their League Cup campaign. This game is actually played at BC Place in Vancouver, even though Club Leon stands as the host. Both teams already have one trophy this year, which boosts their morale ahead of other challenges.

Before Betting on Club Leon vs. Vancouver Whitecaps

Club Leon is the winner of this year’s CONCACAF Champions League. The Mexicans won their first such trophy with a victory over the MLS champions, the LA FC, in the finals. It is one of the biggest successes in the history of this team.

However, they haven’t started the Liga MX campaign as planned, losing two of their three events, and posting just one victory. They opened the championship with a 1-2 loss at home to Guadalajara Chivas, then trashed Pachuca 4-0 before suffering a defeat to UNAL Tigres, 1-0.

On the other side are the Canadian champions, the Whitecaps, playing confident football at home these days. They have only two routs in front of their own fans over the period of 15 matches. The most recent was against Seattle Sounders some two weeks ago, but after that, Vancouver rebounded.

The Whitecaps were better than Austin 2-1, and LA Galaxy 4-2, which made their streak of games with at least three goals rising to five. Throughout the previous ten events this franchise played, only one didn’t see both teams netting.

The Mexicans have a better attack than the defense, and we can say the same for the Canadian gang. That’s why we wouldn’t meddle in picking the full-time result but focus on goals, with both teams netting being the safest choice for this contest.
