Columbus Crew vs. Toronto FC is a duel between the highest-scoring team in the league and the team with the second-fewest number of goals scored in the 2023 MLS. It’s played on Saturday, August 26, at Lower.com Field in Columbus, and it seems like one of the best MLS games of the weekend betting-wise.

Before Betting on Columbus Crew vs. Toronto FC

Columbus Crew is sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference with 39 points (an 11-6-7 record), which is 12 fewer than the table-leader FC Cincinnati. What’s interesting is that Columbus Crew had no problems beating Cincy last weekend, scoring four goals while allowing none.

Actually, scoring a lot of goals has been Columbus’ style this season. With 48 goals scored in 24 games, these guys are the highest-scoring crew in the MLS. Their defense, however, isn’t as great, allowing 33 goals thus far.

Still, this shouldn’t concern them much ahead of the August 26 game with Toronto FC. Why? Because the Canadian team is horrible offensively with just 20 goals scored thus far. This is kind of strange because Toronto has two amazing forwards on the roster – Federico Bernardeschi and Lorenzo Insigne.

We think this game will bring us goals galore, which is why “over 2.5 goals” looks like a great bet. When it comes to the match-winner market, we just have to go with Columbus Crew. Not only are the boys from Ohio in great shape, but those playing for Toronto FC are not.
