Detroit Looks for Its First Win
The Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions were both involved in close games in week one, but with different results. Washington was able to stave off Jacksonville for a 28-22 win while Detroit battled back valiantly but ultimately fell 38-35 to the Eagles. Despite their varying records the offshore odds still have Detroit a slight home favorite in the Commanders Lions week 2 matchup.
The Carson Wentz era is off to a nice start in Washington as he threw a couple of 4th quarter TDs to lead the week one win. Wentz finished 27/41 for 313 yards with 4 TDs but also had 2 INTs. Washington looks like they found a real one in 1st round draft pick Jahan Dotson as the WR debuted with 2TD catches. Where you can really hurt Detroit is on the ground though as they gave up over 200 yards rushing to the Eagles in week one.
Detroit loses some of their value in the Commanders Lions week 2 matchup if RB D’Andre Swift (ankle) cannot go. He had 15 carries for 144 yards last week and is listed as probable. The Lions will be missing starting C Frank Ragnow (groin) while starting tackle Taylor Decker (calf) is probable.
Lions QB Jared Goff was 21/37 for 215 yards with 2 TDs and an INT in week one – not exactly eye popping numbers. Washington held Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence to a 24/42 passing afternoon in week one.

Commanders Lions Week 2 Prediction
The wrong team definitely looks favored here considering the Lions’ concerns on the offensive line and the fact that Swift might not be 100%. The best value in the Commanders Lions week 2 matchup is at Pinnacle where the Washington ML is +104.
