The 2006-born prodigy reclassified from the 2025 to the 2024 class, making him eligible for the 2025 NBA Draft. Already now, the majority of sports analysts and scouts predict that the 16-year-old could be the top pick.

Flagg is a 6’8” forward playing for Monteverde Academy, where he earned the USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year honors in 2022. He won the award because of his performances at the U-17 World Cup in 2020, where the United States won the title, and Flagg averaged 9.3 points 10 boards, 2.9 blocks, and 2.4 steals, being the unstoppable defensive force.

Plenty of colleges are monitoring his situation, and Flagg has been on their radar for a long time. Bryant University offered him a scholarship while he attended the eighth grade.

At Nike’s EYBL Peach Jam in South Carolina, he averaged 25.4 points, 13 boards, almost seven blocks, and five assists, catching LeBron’s attention.

The Duke Blue Devils are the top favorites for Flagg’s one year in college. According to several sources, Flagg decided to reclassify himself after visiting Durham. Now, there isn’t any official confirmation for this, but it still created hype.

If he isn’t at Duke, the bookies believe the talented kid would jump to the G-League and stay there for a year or maybe even two. He would have all the needed resources to improve and play without pressure.
