Many believe that these two teams are going to battle for the third spot in Group B, yet Venezuela proved them all wrong. Right now, Fernando Batista’s crew is first in the assembly with six points.

Before Betting on Jamaica vs. Venezuela

The Reggae Boyz simply weren’t competitive enough in the USA. They came to Copa America with high spirits, winning three matches in a row and playing solid football overall. Still, as soon as the situation became intense, it was obvious they didn’t have enough quality to do anything notable.

Looking further back in the past, Jamaica has always performed poorly at this tournament. They lost all their matches at the previous two championships, and when we add a pair of the current losses, the total reaches eight.

Venezuela is in heaven right now, with two wins in two games. Before the tournament, La Vinotinto couldn’t triumph in five straight events, but that didn’t discourage them against Ecuador in the opener, when they shocked the rivals to win, 1-2.

Luck was on their side in the game against Mexico. La Vinotinto won 1-0, with Salomon Rondon scoring the only goal of the event from the penalty. However, the best player in the Venezuelan squad was the goalkeeper Romo, who stopped all the Mexican attacks.

In the 2016 Copa America, Venezuela was better than Jamaica, with a minimal result, 1-0. That was the most recent meeting between these two units.

The game hasn’t got a competitive stake, which is why we expect it to be a bit looser with a couple of goals included. Our pick will be for both teams to score.
