Venezuela vs. Mexico is a duel between two teams from the top of the Group B table in the 2024 Copa America. Despite winning in the first round, neither team impressed very much. If they want to do well in the US this summer, both teams need to switch to top gear ASAP. This is why our prediction is that the game on Wednesday, June 26 is going to be a banger.

Before Betting on Venezuela vs. Mexico

Venezuela started the 2024 Copa America campaign with a 2:1 win over Ecuador. However, there’s a caveat – Ecuador was without captain Enner Valencia for about 70 minutes after he received a red card.

Meanwhile, Mexico defeated Jamaica 1:0 in the first round of the Copa America. Even though the Reggae Boyz aren’t famous for their defense, they were able to keep the Mexicans to only one goal.

On the bright side for Mexico, this team’s defenders did a very good job in that game. Center-backs Cesar Montes and Johan Vasquez put on a stellar performance, while left-back Gerardo Arteaga was the one who scored the only goal of the match. Mexico’s defensive midfielder Luis Chavez also had a wonderful game.

In fact, all of Jaime Lozano’s men played well, apart from those whose job is to score goals. Mexico’s No. 9 Julian Quinones had a quiet game and so did Santiago Gimenez.

Venezuela’s players were lucky to score twice against Ecuador, but luck probably won’t be on their side against Mexico. It’s just that Lozano’s boys are much better than them.

Plus, the Venezuela vs. Mexico game is played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, which is the city with one of the biggest Mexican communities in the US.

It’s estimated that almost half of the city’s population has Mexican roots, which is why it’s only logical that most of the 70,000 fans in the stands will be cheering for Mexico.
