Dallas gets a good draw in the penultimate game of the 2022 regular season, taking their 11-4 record into Tennessee in a contest that is meaningless for the Titans. Win or lose, the Titans still play for the AFC South crown next weekend in Jacksonville. Dallas will take that scenario, as they’ve already clinched a playoff berth and can either rest players for the postseason or pick up a victory and hold on to slim hopes of catching Philadelphia in the NFC East.

Without all the intangibles, this would have been a perfect game to go against the Cowboys because they are in a sandwich spot after an emotional 40-34 win over the Eagles last week and with the chance to spoil rival Washington’s playoffs hopes in next weekend’s regular season finale.
As it stands Dallas might win Thursday’s game just by showing up, as the Titans seem to be sacrificing their week 17 game so that they are at full strength for the clash with Jacksonville next weekend. Tennessee is already down Ryan Tannehill (ankle), but it looks like they are sitting Derrick Henry (hip) as well.
The Titans were very one-dimensional with Henry, but now without him they are basically zero dimensional on offense. Tennessee has been held to 16 points in four of their last five and it seems like getting to 10 points would be a minor victory on Thursday night.
