Bellator 300 is going to be a really historic event for a number of reasons. First of all, it’s headlined by a Lightweight Championship fight Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Brent Primus, but that’s not the only bout in which a title is at stake. The same is the case with the co-main event – Cris Cyborg vs. Cat Zingano.
This is a Women’s Featherweight fight in which Cyborg is defending her Bellator title for the fifth time. Knowing this, it’s no surprise she’s a huge favorite to win on October 7. Cris Cyborg is the best female fighter in Bellator MMA. The evidence of this is that she’s ranked No. 1 in the Bellator’s Women’s Pound-for-Pound Rankings. She’s also the champion of the Bellator Women’s Featherweight division, with her reign starting in January 2020 when she won the title on her promotional debut.
Before moving to Bellator, she was fighting in the UFC for years. Actually, she was the UFC Women’s Featherweight for a year and a half. She won it against Tonya Evinger, then defended the title twice – vs. Holly Holm and Yana Kunitskaya (Santos). Cyborg lost her UFC title against legendary Amanda Nunes but has been undefeated since that loss.
Cat Zingano also fought in the UFC, but she wasn’t as successful as Cyborg. Another difference is that in the early days of her career, Zingano fought in the Bantamweight division. She moved up to the Featherweight division in December 2018 and is 4-1 since.

Cris Cyborg is bigger, stronger, and faster than Cat Zingano. She’s also better technically and has more experience with big fights such as the Bellator 300 co-main event. That’s why anything but an easy win for the reigning champ would be a huge surprise. We think Cyborg will win this fight, probably by a KO/TKO.
