Portugal have enjoyed another excellent campaign in the Nations League this year, and they have already secured their spot in the quarterfinal stage next summer.

However, they will have the opportunity to wrap up top spot in Group A1 on Monday when they come up against Croatia.

The aging hosts are Portugal’s only threat to top spot after winning two of their four matches before a showdown against Scotland. Croatia will also be looking to avenge their defeat against Portugal in September.

Portugal have a very impressive record against Croatia, winning seven of the previous nine meetings since 1996.

That includes victories in all three previous meetings between the sides in the Nations League.

The latest of those ended in a 2-1 success at the start of September. Interestingly, each of the last four meetings have seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Croatia vs. Portugal Prediction

It has been an excellent period for Portugal, and they have continued to be dynamic in the final third throughout 2024.

Their energy in the middle of the park will likely see them overpower Croatia on Monday, meaning that we will be siding with a win for the Portuguese.
