The final match of the second round of fixtures in the Premier League will take place on Monday, as both Crystal Palace and Arsenal look to maintain their 100% record at the start of the new season. But, which team will claim maximum points?

Before Betting On Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Arsenal kick started their new season with a fine 2-1 home win over Nottingham Forest. However, the win on the opening weekend was overshadowed by a season-ending injury sustained by new signing Jurrien Timber. The Gunners could yet opt to dip back into the transfer market to replace for the former Ajax star.

The Gunners landed victories in both Premier League meetings between the sides last season. That was an improvement to their record against their rivals before the start of last season, as they had won just once from their previous eight. Arsenal boasted an excellent record in London derbies last term, as they won ten of their 12 Premier League showdowns. Meanwhile, they went 12 without defeat in all derbies. They last enjoyed a longer unbeaten streak between November 2001 and April 2005 when they went 35 without defeat.

Crystal Palace also opened their new season with a fine victory, as they landed a 1-0 win on the road against Sheffield United. The big bonus for them this week has been the decision of Michael Olise to extend his deal at the club, despite being presented with the chance to join Chelsea.

The Eagles have landed just one win in their last eight against Arsenal in the Premier League. Their only success was a 3-0 home win in April 2022. Since then, they have lost four matches against the Gunners. Palace landed victory last weekend, but they have only started a Premier League season with two straight wins on one previous top-flight campaign.
