Before Betting On Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa
Unai Emery deserves all the credit in the world for the job that he has done at Aston Villa this term, as the Spaniard has guided the club back to Europe’s elite for the first time in 40 years. Villa have been in the top four throughout the campaign, despite being heavily beaten on the opening day of the campaign by Newcastle.
They have almost stumbled over the line across the final weeks of the season after going three without a victory. But, they showed excellent character in their previous outing, as they battled back from two goals down to claim a 3-3 draw in their final home match of the season against Liverpool on Monday.
This won’t be an easy final day assignment for Villa, as Crystal Palace are one of the in-form teams in the Premier League at this stage. The Eagles have picked up victories in four of their last five matches in the competition, with their most recent success coming in the West Midlands against Wolves last Saturday.
Villa have enjoyed their recent showdowns with the Eagles after winning their last two, but both of those victories were achieved at home. They were beaten 3-1 at Selhurst Park last term, while their only victory in their last five visits was achieved in November 2011.
