The series between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves may be unexpected, but we sure as hell think it will be anything but dull. These two teams have superstars, role players, bad guys, and everything else needed to deliver a superb show.

Before Betting on Dallas Mavericks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves West Finals Series

The Mavs are through following wins against the Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. They were better than these two units, having won games on the road and stealing the home-court edge of the higher-ranked units.

Luka leads the way with a near triple-double average in the playoffs, with 27.3 points, 9.7 boards, and 9.1 assists. However, unlike the previous playoffs, despite leading in almost all the categories, he isn’t the sole leader of the unit because Kyrie Irving also made a huge contribution, 21.1 buckets, yet with heavy playmaking duties.

We have to add that the Dallas’ frontcourt emerged as a huge factor here, with Daniel Gafford and rookie Dereck Lively having outstanding performances, often grabbing double-digit number of rebounds in games. And when talking about X-factors, PJ Washington is the one, with him solving Game 6 and being superb as a stretch-forward.

The Timberwolves are all about Anthony Edwards. Do you agree with this? Well, we aren’t. Yes, he drops 28.9 points per game in the playoffs and has six boards and assists each, but the way other players contribute is impressive as well.

Apart from the Ant, a team from Minneapolis has six players who score double-digit points in the playoffs. So, even though the entire focus is on Edwards, things are much different. Towns deliver 18.8 points with 9.3 boards, while Gobert adds 10.9 boards.

Minnesota’s physicality is a good foundation for beating the rivals here, particularly because they have a very strong frontcourt composed of two veterans with different styles and Naz Reid, who is awfully fluid. We are giving the T-Wolves a slight edge here and pick them to win in six games.
