The Mavs need another break on the road to have a matchpoint for closing the series at home. On the other side, the OKC comes back from Dallas with a big win and a restored home-court edge.

Before Betting on Dallas Mavericks vs. OKC Thunder Game 5

Dallas Mavericks have lost Game 4 and a perfect chance to drop the Thunder on its knees. It was a tight one, 100-96, but we need to say that the Mavs had everything in their hands in the first half. What happened in the second part of the event? Well, we really can’t explain that. Luka’s focus dropped in crucial moments, missing from the free throw line, and that sums up a lot of things.

He had a miserable 18 points, which erased his triple-double, with 12 boards and ten assists. We need to add seven turnovers committed. Kyrie was even worse, with only nine points in 41 minutes, 4-for-11 from the field. The only ones who had decent performances were PJ Washington, who scored 21 points and 12 boards, and Derrick Jones Jr., who scored 17 buckets.

On the other side was fired-up Shai, who had 34 points, eight boards, and five assists. Check this out: He didn’t have a single turnover in this event. The Thunder team had seven, equal to what Doncic had alone.

Chet Hokmgren ended the night with 18 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks, while Lugentz Dort scored 17, three more than Jalen Williams. The Thunder players were extremely accurate from the free-throw line, missing just one of 24 throughout this event.

OKC has the momentum, and even though we saw the Mavs perform well in situations like these, we have to pick Shai and the boys to triumph tonight. They surely are a better team than the Clippers, against whom Dallas managed to get away from a similar situation.
