Hopes are high ahead of the much touted debut of Wolverine within the Deadpool series this summer. The trailer for the upcoming release was among the most watched adverts during the Super Bowl this year, and box office records could be smashed when it finally hits theatres at the end of July.

The film series starring Ryan Reynolds have gained a cult-like following since the release of the first film, and this year’s edition is likely to break new records. Deadpool 2 saw an opening weekend sale of over $125 million, with the first film in the series debuting with £132 million. However, given the success of cinema post-COVID both of these tallies are likely to be exceeded this summer.

As is the case with every Deadpool film, viewers will be expecting the unexpected, with Reynolds and Jackman both teasing a number of special appearances. A number of funny moments will also take place throughout the film, with the option to wager on ‘Wrexham’ being mentioned among our favorites given Reynolds’ ownership of the Football League club.
