The fight between Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov is the highlight of the upcoming UFC Fight Night. These two guys are in the middleweights, and this battle will decide who will get a chance to attack top names in the division. Both had losses in the previous meetings, so this could be a turning point in their respective careers.

Before Betting on Dolidze vs. Imavov

Dolidze’s previous appearance in the octagon was against Marvin Vettori when he lost via split decision. He was solid in that bout but not good enough to defeat the Italian. We saw Dolidze hitting Vettori in the opening round a couple of times, but after that, he couldn’t stop his rival from taking him to the ground, where Vettori controlled the Georgian without problems.

Dolidze is one of the best grapplers in the UFC, and he came to the organization as the world champion. In 14 MMA contests, he has 12 wins and two defeats. His latest win was over Jack Hermansson, and that’s the only big name he has in his resume.

On the other side, Imavov couldn’t triumph in the past two appearances. His bout against Chris Curtis was a no-contest due to a head clash. Before that, Imavov had a fierce clash against Sean Strickland, against whom he lost after five rounds of vicious battle.

He, too, is good on the mat but prefers to battle in stand-up. Unlike Dolidze, Imavov’s record in the MMA is slightly worse, with 12 wins and four defeats, yet on the other hand, he met with higher-ranked rivals, like the above-mentioned Strickland, Ian Heinish, Edmen Shabazyan, and Joaquin Buckley.

Dolidze is higher ranked in this affair, but our money is on Imavov due to his experience and cardio. Plus, it seems that he can restrain Dolidze on the ground but has an edge in the stand-up.
