The Formula 1 action comes thick and fast after the summer break, and the Dutch Grand Prix is the next race on calendar, just seven days after the Belgian Grand Prix. Reigning world champion Max Verstappen has home track advantage this weekend, as he looks to extend his advantage in the Drivers’ Championship.
Before Betting On Dutch Grand Prix
The Dutch Grand Prix is the 15th race on the calendar this year, and is the penultimate stop on the European schedule. The Circuit Zandvoort track will host the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend, which is the second renewal of the race since its return to the F1 calendar. There are two DRS Zones to help drivers with overtaking, and 14 corners that drivers must successfully navigate.
Max Verstappen was a commanding winner of his home race last year, as he finished over 20 seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton, and 50 seconds clear of Valtteri Bottas. The Dutchman’s dominance this season has been clear for all to see, as he has already won nine races. He comes into this weekend after winning the previous three, while Red Bull has been the winning constructor in nine of the previous eleven races.
Verstappen’s hold on the F1 title doesn’t look like weakening between now and the end of the campaign, as he currently sits nearly 100 points clear of teammate Sergio Perez. Charles Leclerc’s misery continued at the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend, as he was demoted to sixth after the race. It was also a weekend to forget for Mercedes, as Lewis Hamilton crashed out on the opening lap and George Russell lacked the pace to compete for third against Carlos Sainz.
