Formula 1 action resumes after the summer break this weekend, as the Dutch Grand Prix is staged at Circuit Zandvoort. Max Verstappen will have home field advantage for his home race of the season, as the Dutchman looks to extend his healthy championship advantage for a dominant Red Bull.

Before Betting On Dutch Grand Prix

The Dutch Grand Prix made its return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2021 after being absent on the schedule following the race in 1985. This weekend’s race will be the 35th time that it has been staged, as drivers compete across a total of 306.587km. One lap covers a total of 4,259km, meaning that a total of 72 laps will be covered to complete the race distance this weekend.

Max Verstappen has won each of the previous two Dutch Grand Prix since its return to the calendar in 2021. He finished over four seconds clear of George Russell last year, with Charles Leclerc taking third on the podium. It could be challenging to overlook the defending champion once again this weekend, as he has won each of the last eight races.

He holds a very clear advantage in the Drivers’ Championship standings, with Sergio Perez currently sitting second overall. The Mexican is the only other driver to have landed victory this season after claiming wins in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. Red Bull has won all 12 races this term.

The main danger is likely to come from the Mercedes drivers, with Lewis Hamilton able to rise up to third in the standings with a positive result this weekend. Hamilton finished fourth for the second race running in Belgium on his previous appearance.

Ferrari also appear to be back on track, as Charles Leclerc landed a second podium of the season in Belgium. McLaren endured a challenging weekend in Belgium, but confidence will still be taken following Lando Norris’s two straight second-place finishes in Britain and Hungary.
