- The Eagles got a much-needed win against the flailing Browns, rising to 3-2.
- New York lost to the Bengals on Sunday, 17-7, continuing their offensive woes.
- These two teams last met on January 7, in a game that the Giants won 27-10.
Philadelphia and New York face off in a Week 7 NFL clash. Our Eagles vs Giants prediction features a surprisingly close matchup. Both teams are desperately fighting to stay alive after rocky starts to the season.
Eagles Looking to Get into Rhythm
The Eagles continued to struggle on offense against the Browns, but managed to earn a victory. It was a much-needed win for a team that has already dropped games to the Falcons and Buccaneers. Despite a superstar offseason signing of RB Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia has seemingly not improved from last season, but rather regressed. Even so, they remain competitive and will be strongly aided by their defense against the Giants.
Giants Aim to Avoid 0-3 Start vs NFC East
New York football has been in a sorry state for a decade and a half. While the Jets are underperforming expectations, the Giants may be exceeding them. Unfortunately, their projection was so terrible that the Giants needn’t do much to improve on it. At 2-4, they aren’t fully out of the mix but are in danger of slipping too far out of contention. They already lost to Dallas and Washington and will be desperate to survive against Philadelphia.
Eagles vs Giants Prediction: Philly Snags Another Win in NY
Whether or not Giants’ rookie WR Malik Nabers will be able to play makes a big difference in this game. Without his field-stretching ability, New York’s offense becomes stagnant. They scored just 7 points against Cincinnati, despite otherwise playing decent football. Even if Nabers does return, expect the Eagles to clamp down on defense and keep the Giants under 20 points. We’ll take Philadelphia to win this one on the road, 22-16.
