Things haven’t been good for England against Brazil, and that’s why the Three Lions need to give their best against Belgium. A win over the continental rivals and one of the contenders for the title at the upcoming EURO would be the best medicine.

Before Betting on England vs. Belgium

The English unit was beaten at Wembley on Saturday night, even though they stood as solid favorites against Brazil, who appeared in a mixed lineup. A 0-1 loss was the first one since the quarterfinals in Qatar when France stopped the Three Lions on their way to the World Cup title.

Now, we need to say that Gareth Southgate’s side showed plenty of weakness in the back line, particularly in the moments when they had to defend from Brazil’s transition. That’s a bit odd knowing England’s physicality and speed, but it turned out that direct attacks presented the biggest problem for the hosts.

Belgium played a rather dull and disappointing match against the Republic Of Ireland on the road, which ended without goals. The home unit missed a penalty in the first half, and looked better in certain situations, though we have to add that the Devils played without several top stars.

The positive aspect of this game is that Belgium extended its defeatless streak to a dozen encounters, winning eight and drawing four. Another encouraging statistic for the fans is that they have kept three clean sheets in a row, keeping the net intact against Serbia and Azerbaijan before Ireland.

England’s home-court edge isn’t of much use when playing against big teams, and Belgium is one for sure. Therefore, we won’t bet on the full-time winner because this event could go either way. The pick that sounds the most reasonable for this event is a moderate efficiency, two or three goals.
