Before Betting On England vs North Macedonia

The final fixture of the 2022-23 season for England takes place on Monday, as the Three Lions will be looking to sign off from an excellent 12-month period with a fourth straight victory in Group C. England have already won each of their three qualifying matches this year, and they could move nine points clear at the top of the standings with victory.

Southgate fielded an experimental time in the national side’s most recent fixture, as Trent Alexander-Arnold was played in a more advanced position. England was professional against Malta, and landed a straightforward 4-0 win on the road, with the Liverpool man scoring England’s only goal from open play.

Other efforts in the success were netted from the penalty spot by Harry Kane and Callum Wilson. England fans will be hoping for more of the same against Macedonia on Monday, but it is worth remembering that each of the previous two matches between the sides in England have ended in draws.

However, North Macedonia already face a huge challenge to wait the EUROs next summer, as they sit fourth after two rounds of matches. They have won just once in two matches, and have scored just four goals, which is half the number managed by the Three Lions. However, confidence would have been taken from their most recent outing, as they were narrowly denied a point against Ukraine, as they were beaten 3-2.

This should be a straightforward match for England in front of their home fans on Monday. We struggle to overlook England’s dominant record in qualifying, and we expect the Three Lions to secure a win by at least a three-goal margin at Old Trafford.
