A thrilling season of NASCAR action continues this weekend, as the 15th race of the campaign will come in the form of the Enjoy Illinois 300. This weekend’s race comes after a thrilling Sunday of motorsport action, which saw both the Monaco Grand Prix and Indy 500 take place. This race has been staged annually since being added to the schedule in 2022, with the field completing a total distance of 300 miles.

A total of 240 laps will be completed by the drivers involved this weekend, with the first stage consisting of 45 laps. The next 95 laps will make up the second stage, with the remaining 100 laps completing the race distance. Joey Logano and Kyle Busch are the only two drivers to have claimed victories in the Enjoy Illinois 300 throughout history.

Denny Hamlin enjoyed a weekend to remember last time out, as he maintained his consistent start to the season after finishing fifth in the Coca-Cola 600. That finish means that he now sits top of the Drivers’ Championship standings. It was the fourth straight race in which he had finished in the top five places.

Christopher Bell enjoyed an excellent weekend after winning the race, moving him up to eleventh in the standings. The race for a playoff spot heated up, with nine of the top eleven in the standings finishing in the top ten. Brad Keselowski built on his win in the Goodyear 400 to take second in the Coca-Cola 600.
