The team that’s at the top of that list is Egypt’s Al Ahly, which has 11 trophies in the collection. This first of those was won back in 1983, while the most recent time Al Ahly became the champion of Africa was last year.
What’s interesting is that most of the players from the trophy-winning generation are still in Al Ahly, including the three players who scored in the Final doubleheader last season – Abdelmonem, Kahraba, and Tau.
