England can guarantee themselves qualification to the EUROs knockout rounds with a win against Denmark on Thursday.

What We Know So Far

England tops Group C with three points following their 1-0 victory over Serbia — it remains finely poised though. Next up for Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions is Denmark with third-placed Slovenia taking on bottom-ranked Serbia in the other fixture.

Victory for England would send them through to the knockout rounds with Denmark’s destiny out of their hands.

And the good news for English fans is that their country have not lost to Denmark at a major tournament in their history. England knocked Thursday’s opponents out of the 2002 World Cup and again during the 2020 (played in 2021) EUROs.

Denmark vs. England Offshore Odds

Unsurprisingly, England are the game’s overwhelming favorites with a current price of -146 while Denmark sit at a huge price of +495.

On the face of it, if you believe England will replicate their lackluster opening performance against Serbia again during Matchday 2 then the draw at +265 could be quite appealing. We urge caution with the upset betting though — it’s likely the Three Lions, like joint-favorites France, will grow stronger the further the tournament goes.

Best Card Bets

Card prop betting is quickly becoming one of the most popular soccer markets to bet on, and for good reason too. The odds, on singles and parlay bets, present some of the most inviting prices seen within game’s prop markets.

Let’s take a look at the three players we believe stand the best chance of picking up a card during Thursday’s clash in Frankfurt between Denmark and England.

Joachim Andersen (Denmark): +325

Although not the favorite to get carded, Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen is our pick to receive a card on Thursday.

The towering center-back is very physical and is known for his love of a good old fashioned sliding tackle. Often breaking his defensive line to break up his opposition’s attack, Andersen is likely to be drawn out of position as Harry Kane continues to operate in a slightly deeper position.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Denmark): +275

Understandably the bookmakers’ favorite to get carded, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be tasked with keeping the likes of Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden quiet.

The Danish midfielder picked up four bookings from eight Premier League starts last season so he’s not shy when it comes to throwing his weight around.

Kieran Trippier (England): +350

Likely to start consecutive games at left-back while Luke Shaw continues his return to full fitness, Newcastle United full-back Kieran Trippier is a decent option to get carded.

The Bury-born defender, who is naturally a right-back, failed to pick up a card against Serbia but will be expected to continue to play in an unfamiliar position, and with Denmark’s Alexander Bah notoriously robust going forward and possessing great strength, we expect Trippier to be in for a physical contest.
