A competitive EURO 2024 group looks to be on the agenda this summer in Group B, with two previous champions set to compete for top spot. However, Croatia could be a potential dark horse in the race after showing their tournament quality after finishing third in the previous edition of the World Cup.

Group B at the EUROs this summer could be one of the most engaging in the tournament, with three of the four nations involved holding excellent claims of winning the opening round. Spain will be the nation that most will fear in Group B, as the 2008 and 2012 EUROs winners look to get back to the top of the continental game.
There is a lot to like about their chances of achieving that feat, as the European giants come into the internationals in 2024 in excellent recent form. Spain have won each of their last six matches, scoring a remarkable 23 goals in the process. However, they were beaten by Croatia on penalties in the Nations League last summer.
Croatia will be taken very seriously in the competition this year after finishing second and third in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, respectively. However, the nation has never previously reached the semi-final stage at the EUROs, suffering elimination at the hands of Italy in the round of 16 at the previous edition.
Italy come into the tournament this summer as the reigning European champions, but their form over the last 12 months has dampened expectations slightly. The European giants suffered three defeats last year, which included a loss against Spain. Albania round off the group, but it is hard to make a case for their chances of progression.
