A huge opening weekend of EURO 2024 action continues on Saturday, as Hungary and Switzerland collide in their first matches in Germany. Hungary have been tipped up to be potential dark horses at the competition this summer, and their progression over the last 18 months or so has been clear for all to see. The nation have successfully gained qualification for the last three EUROs, and they have also achieved promotion to the top level in the Nations League.
Their overall form on the field has also been solid over the last 12 months after losing just once in their last 12 matches. Their recent form has been solid this year after winning two of their last three, and remaining unbeaten across each of their four matches this year. However, in competitive matches, they have played out three draws and a defeat in their last four matches. A strong start to the tournament will be needed to enhance their chances of making it out of Group A.
