The second of the semi-finals at EURO 2024 will take place in Dortmund on Wednesday, as the Netherlands and England collide for a place in the final on Sunday. Both nations will have high hopes ahead of this showdown, but which nation will join either France or Spain in Berlin?

Before Betting On Netherlands vs England

England will have their sights set on history this week, as the Three Lions could reach a second successive EURO finals. However, the main aim for Gareth Southgate and his side is to go one better than their defeat in the final at EURO 2020. But, England have been disappointing throughout the tournament to this point, winning just once in five attempts in regular time.

However, the national side showed massive character in their quarterfinal showdown against Switzerland, coming back from a goal down in the final ten minutes before holding their nerve from the penalty spot. The win means that England have now reached the EURO semi-finals in successive editions for the first time in their international history.

The Netherlands also needed to show massive character in their quarterfinal showdown over the weekend after coming back from a goal down to overcome Turkey in the final 20 minutes. It is the first time that the Dutch have reached the semi-final stage since EURO 2004.

Meanwhile, only Spain and Germany have scored more goals than the Netherlands so far at EURO 2024. But, their semi-final record should be considered, as the Dutch have lost four of their five matches at this stage of the EUROs, with their only win coming against Germany on German soil in 1988.

Netherlands vs England Head to Head

England’s record against the Dutch is extremely poor after winning just once in their last nine. Meanwhile, the Three Lions have a win rate of just 27% against the Netherlands, winning just six of their 22 meetings.
