The final week of EURO 2024 gets underway on Tuesday, with the first of two semi-finals taking place in Munich. A thrilling showdown is set between France and Spain, but which European heavyweight will get the win required to reach Sunday’s final in Berlin?

What We Know So Far

A sixth meeting between Spain and France at a major tournament will take place on Tuesday, with the winning nation securing their spot in Sunday’s final. France have won three of the five meetings between the sides at major tournaments, but Spain were 2-0 winners in the most recent clash at EURO 2012.

Spain’s record at this summer’s tournament has been excellent, having won all five of their matches. However, no side in EUROs history has won six successive matches at the tournament. France will be aiming to reach their fourth EURO final, and their first since losing to Portugal on home soil in 2016.

But, the Spanish record in semi-finals could be a key factor to consider, as they have won four of their five matches at this stage. In fact, their only defeat came at this stage of EURO 2020 when losing on penalties against eventual winners Italy.

Spain’s strong form could be a key trend to consider, as they have won 79% of their matches under Luis de la Fuente since the start of 2023. Meanwhile, they come into this semi-final after winning seven on the bounce, which is their best winning run since between June 2009 and June 2010.

Best Card Bets

This should be an excellent semi-final showdown between two of the best national sides on the planet. You can find our selections for the best card bets this week below.

Marc Cucurella +250

France’s wide players will be expected to take the fight to Spain in this semi-final clash on Tuesday. Therefore, Marc Cucurella could be a standout contender to pick up a yellow card. The Chelsea defender was booked ten times in the Premier League last season, and could have his work cut out when up against Ousmane Dembele this week.

Theo Hernandez +300

Spain’s wide players have also been an excellent attacking outlet so far this summer, and French star Theo Hernandez is typically a player that dives recklessly into challenges. He will be up against Lamine Yamal on Tuesday, and he could be good value to pick up a first yellow at EURO 2024.
