Alba Berlin continues to struggle, ranking dead last with a huge -121 point differential.
Week 11 features several key matchups as the standings remain close across the board.

The 2024 EuroLeague basketball season has passed the midway point. Only one game separates 2nd and 9th, keeping most teams in contention for a title. Week 11’s results will have another large impact on the standings.

EuroLeague Basketball Week 11 Predictions

Anadolu Efes vs. Paris

Anadolu Efes defeated Real Madrid last week in an impressive defensive showing. They held the opposition to just 64 points and improved to 6-4 on the season. Sitting right on the cusp of the playoff bubble, Anadolu Efes needs to continue beating other capable teams. This week, they’ll host Paris, who is coming off a 103-87 win over Barcelona. Expect their lethal offense to face some difficulty against Anadolu Efes’ stringent defense.

Monaco vs. Lyon-Villeurbanne

Monaco took down Baskonia on the road last week, climbing to 7th place with a 6-4 record. With the 5th-best point differential in the league, Monaco has the ability to make a title run. On the other hand, they’re also just as close to falling out of the playoff picture. 3-7 Lyon-Villeurbanne is a must-win matchup for Monaco at home. Lyon-Villeurbanne’s -50 point differential ranks 3rd-worse in the league and will likely only grow this week.

Crvena Zvezda vs. Partizan

Crvena Zvezda came up short on the road against Lyon-Villeurbanne last week. They sit at the middle of the pack as the only 5-5 team in the league. They should bounce back at home this week, facing 2-8 Partizan. Crvena Zvezda needs a better performance from their starters this time around. Last week, only one starter reached double figures, with the bench supplying most of the scoring. Partizan has similar trouble on offense.

Olympiacos vs. Baskonia

Olympiacos won a thriller against Maccabi Tel Aviv last week, defeating them 94-91. The road victory propelled them to the 3rd-place spot in the standings. Olympiacos has the league’s second best point differential, and the top defense among the six best teams. They enter this game heavily favored against Baskonia. Sitting in 12th at 4-6, Baskonia faces an uphill battle on the road against red-hot Olympiacos, who should win once again.

Milano vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv

Milano improved to 4-6 in their win over Partizan last week, staying alive in the race for a postseason spot. They’ll face a sliding Maccabi Tel Aviv team this week that has lost three straight games. Now at 3-7, Maccabi Tel Aviv needs to find some source of energy before they fall too far in the standings. With the 4th-worst point differential in the league, they face an uphill battle on the road against a more capable and balanced Milano.

Real Madrid vs vs. Alba Berlin

Real Madrid scored just 64 points at home in their loss to Anadolu Efes last week. It was a stark contrast from the 98 points they scored in the week prior. Now hosting their 3rd consecutive game at home, Real Madrid will be aiming to bounce back and take a step towards returning to .500. Their opposition is Alba Berlin, who is by far the worst team in the league. Alba Belin’s point differential of -121 is far worse than the 2nd-worst of -55.

Žalgiris vs. Panathinaikos

Žalgiris hosts Panathinaikos in what should be one of the best games this week. They’re coming off a tough defeat at home to Fenerbahçe and need a better showing against an equally tough team like Panathinaikos. Two straight losses at home would drop Žalgiris to 6-5 overall and put them in a more sketchy position in the standings. They’ll continue relying on Sylvain Francisco to lead the way on offense and defense to win this one.

Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona

Bayern Munich scored a stupendous 115 points in their win over Alba Berlin last week. They face a much tougher matchup this week against top-5 Barcelona. In order to overcome their 7-3 rivals, Bayern Munich needs to be firing on all cylinders, not just on offense, but defense as well. Meanwhile, Barcelona faces an uphill battle to win this game on the road, but enters as the favorites due to their recent winning ways.
