The Premier League weekend kicks off on Saturday at Goodison Park. Tottenham moved into the Champions League spots with a win in midweek, while it was a damaging round for Everton, as the Toffees dropped into the relegation places in the standings.

Before Betting On Everton vs Tottenham

Tottenham have recovered well after enduring a miserable run of form following a sensational start to the new season. However, their goal this term remains unchanged, as they will be looking to finish the campaign in a Champions League position. They certainly appear on course to achieve that goal after moving back up to fourth after landing a second win in three matches in the midweek round of fixtures against Brentford.

Spurs started slowly in that match, and they fell behind in the opening half an hour. However, they started the second period excellently, and turned the game on its head following goals from Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson. A third was added by Richarlison, which also proved crucial after the Bees pulled a second goal back with 20 minutes remaining.

It wasn’t such a positive midweek round for Everton, as the Toffees dropped into the relegation places in the Premier League after extended their winless run to five matches in the competition. They have been held to draws in their last two, and they are now a point from safety following Luton Town’s big win at home against Brighton.

Tottenham’s record in this fixture would also be a concern for Everton this weekend, as the North London club have won three of the last four, and they are unbeaten in the previous six matches between the sides in the league. Meanwhile, Everton are winless in their last ten home matches against Spurs, but each of the last four fixtures between the sides at Goodison Park have ended in draws.
