The final race in Formula 1 before the summer lockdown takes place in Europe this weekend, as a fascinating Belgian Grand Prix will be staged at the Spa. It promises to be an intriguing battle for pole, with Max Verstappen’s winless run now standing at four races. But, can the Dutchman get back on track in Belgium?

Before Betting On Belgian Grand Prix

The second half of the F1 season continues this weekend, as the second race in two weeks will see the Belgian Grand Prix staged at the Spa. This race has been a regular stop on the Formula 1 schedule since 1983, with the first ever renewal of the contest being staged in 1925. A total distance of 308.052 km will be covered by the field this weekend, seeing a total of 44 laps completed.

Max Verstappen landed a third straight win in the race in 2023, but the Red Bull driver’s frustrations boiled over at the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend. Verstappen was left fuming because of team tactics before colliding with Lewis Hamilton when battling for third place. The Dutchman eventually needed to settle for fifth, extending his winless run to four races.

Last weekend was all about the dominance of the McLarens, but the team couldn’t help but create some controversy in the final stages. Lando Norris undercut his teammate Oscar Piastri in the closing laps, but team orders were given for the Brit to let the Australian pass. It was the fairest outcome, but Norris’ reluctance to follow orders was evident as he bids to close the gap on Verstappen at the top of the standings.

But, McLaren is the form team coming into this weekend, as they are now within 51 points of Red Bull in the Constructors’ standings. The battle for third is also fascinating, with Lewis Hamilton taking third in Hungary to see Mercedes close to within 16 points of Ferrari.
