Formula 1 resumes following the summer break in the Netherlands on August 25, as the Dutch Grand Prix is staged at the Circuit Zandvoort. This race has been staged annually since 2021, but the first Dutch Grand Prix was staged back in 1950. Drivers will complete a total distance of 306.587 km, with 72 laps completed. A total of 14 corners will be taken by the field, with Jim Clark holding the record for most race wins.

Max Verstappen has dominated the race in recent editions, claiming victories in the last three renewals since 2021. His dominance in the race last season was evident after finishing over three seconds clear of Fernando Alonso. However, the Dutchman will have questions to answer this weekend after going four races without a victory.

The pressure is mounting on Red Bull, as McLaren have closed the gap on the team in the Constructors’ Standings. But, Mercedes could come into the weekend as the form team in F1 after winning three of the last four races. Lewis Hamilton landed a second win in three at the Belgian Grand Prix following George Russell’s disqualification.

Lando Norris remains an outside chance to win the Drivers’ Championship this term, having finished second in five of the races this season. However, his championship aspirations could have been impacted after finishing fifth in the Belgian Grand Prix before the summer break. Charles Leclerc has also bounced back to form in recent months, finishing third in Belgium after taking fourth in Hungary.

For the first time this season, Verstappen is odds-against to win a race. The opportunity to back him at the current odds in a race where he has dominated seems far too tempting. Therefore, we will be siding with the Dutchman getting back to winning ways.
