Before Betting On Italian Grand Prix

The F1 action comes thick and fast following the summer break, with the second weekend of action on track being staged at Monza on Sunday. The second race in Italy this season will have an exciting feel, as there is real hope that a title scrap is taking shape between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. This weekend’s race has been staged on 93 previous occasions, with Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher tied for the most race wins.

The Italian Grand Prix will cover a total distance of 306.720 km this weekend, with 53 laps being completed by the drivers involved. Ferrari is the most successful team with 20 previous victories, but they will be among the outsiders to land success in their home race this weekend.

Verstappen’s advantage at the top of the Drivers’ standings has been cut drastically over recent months, with the Dutchman now only boasting a 50-point advantage over Lando Norris. Norris was sensational in the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend, putting 20 seconds between himself and Verstappen despite making a slow start off the line. The momentum is certainly with McLaren, and they could put increased pressure on Red Bull in the battle for the Constructors’ title with a success this weekend.

Mercedes endured a frustrating weekend in the Netherlands last time out, as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell could only finish eighth and seventh, respectively. But, there was a glimmer of hope for Ferrari, as Charles Leclerc finished third and Carlos Sainz showed strong race pace to finish fifth.

Italian Grand Prix Odds & Picks

Lando Norris+115
Max Verstappen+275
Oscar Piastri+600
Charles Leclerc+1000
Carlos Sainz+1400

The McLaren came alive at the Dutch Grand Prix on the return of F1 last Sunday. The track for the Italian Grand Prix is likely to favor Red Bull more so this weekend, which could ensure a close battle on track. However, we could see the title scrap becoming a viable narrative with Norris landing a second straight win.
