#7 Duke (16-4) and #3 North Carolina (17-4) renew their rivalry on Saturday night in Chapel Hill in what should be another instant classic. The Blue Devils have some value getting the points here considering they have won 11 of their last 12 games overall and swept UNC in two meetings last season. The Tar Heels are also 9-0 at the Dean Smith Center this season though which makes this matchup so intriguing.
Before Betting on #7 Duke vs #3 North Carolina NCAAB
North Carolina got caught looking ahead to a visit from their neighbors from 10 miles to the North, falling 74-73 at Georgia Tech on Tuesday. The Tar Heels picked a bad time to give up over 70+ points for the first time since the middle of December and having a bad offensive night as well shooting just 28-77 (36%) from the floor.
North Carolina can also take a positive spin from this week’s loss to the Yellow Jackets that snapped a 10-game win streak which is they got that game out of their system. They have also played three of their last four games on the road and get to return to the hostile environment of the Dean Dome to try and avenge the Blue Devils’ sweep of the season series from a year ago.
Duke has survived some close calls recently such as a 72-71 home win over Clemson and escaping Georgia Tech 84-79 as -17.5 favorites at Cameron Indoor Stadium but they’re still picking up wins. The Blue Devils’ 16-4 mark is even more impressive when you take into account a variety of injuries that have forced them to use six different starting lineups this season – but Duke does look relatively healthy for the final month of the regular season.

Duke vs North Carolina NCAAB Prediction & Pick
North Carolina had been dominant winning 9 of the 10 games during their winning streak by double digits, but does the loss to Georgia Tech on Monday make all that a moot point (Duke did also lose at Georgia Tech this season)? Ultimately with the Blue Devils tendency to play games close, the +4.5 points just looks like too much here.Β
