The Bahamas claimed their spot in the Spain-region FIBA Qualifying Finals following a 17-point victory over Lebanon. With NBA stars DeAndre Ayton and Buddy Hield headlining the roster, the Bahamas are one of the only 3-0 teams in the qualifying stages. Their offense has been excellent, averaging 92 points per game so far. Ayton made the biggest splash in their most recent win over Lebanon, tallying 24 points and 15 rebounds.
Spain meets the Bahamas as another one of the few 3-0 teams remaining. They have the highest FIBA ranking of all the teams in the qualifying rounds as the #2 team in the world, but failed to advance directly to the main tournament. Spain had a couple of close calls against #34 Angola and #20 Finland after blowing out Lebanon. Willy Hernangomez’s 28 points were crucial in their recent win. Spain needs to be at their best to advance.
Bahamas vs Spain Offshore Odds
This is the fourth and last of the qualifying finals that will determine which four teams join the 12-team group stage. It should also be the most exciting. Despite currently ranking at #57 in the world, the Bahamas defeated #15 Poland, #20 Finland, and #28 Lebanon to advance to this final. They’ll face by far the toughest challenge against #2 Spain, but have the offense to keep up. Spain is a large favorite here, but could be on upset watch.
