The Philippines have not had their first game of the qualifiers yet. They open up with this match against Latvia, facing an uphill battle as notable underdogs. In order to avoid a similar result to Georgia, Philippines will need to take only smart and meaningful shots and prioritize the chances they get. They will be facing a mismatch on the boards, making the first shot of each possession that much more important.

In their next game, the Philippines should offer a more resistent opponent. I don’t expect Latvia to keep holding opponents to under 60 points, but they should win by double-digits once again.
