As mentioned numerous times throughout the last few months, Gareth Bale might move to one of the MLS clubs in the near future.
Bale Himself Confirms the Story
Real Madrid’s superstar stated recently that it wouldn’t be odd seeing him moving to the MLS because the competition has enormous potential and develops rapidly over the recent few years. He also added that he loves visiting the US.
“I think a lot more players want to come over to America now to play. I’d definitely be interested in it. I love going to Los Angeles on holiday.”
Bale has been connected with several MLS teams, among them Inter Miami and LA Galaxy. According to various reporters and media, the Welsh player even received some unofficial offers for leaving Real, but there were no comments that could confirm those rumors.
Inter Miami is a project which involves David Beckham, who wants to make it the next big thing in US sports. The former English national team captain has several major targets, with Bale being one of them. Becks believes that if he manages to land one of the best wingers in the world, he will make Inter a far more attractive for all other potential additions.
On the other side, the LA Galaxy lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of the previous season, and they need one big superstar who wouldn’t only contribute on the field, but kept the status and glamour of the club. Bale fits in perfectly.
The player did say one interesting thing when giving the interview in which he revealed the affection for MLS. The pacey winger told that he often visits LA, and likes the city. That just might be the signal for Galaxy, or maybe even LAFC, to react and offer him a deal.
Problems in Real
It is no secret that Bale and Zinedine Zidane are not very fond of one another. They are constantly waging silent personal war, and that is why Los Blancos try to sell the player at almost any cost.
Apart from that, according to some sources, Bale has an annual salary of more than $20 million.
On the other side, the player doesn’t want to leave the club because of the way they behaved once trying to get rid of him. Some sources were suggesting that Real acted rude and cold when trying to sell the Welshman, and he refused all the offers and deals, revenging by taking a colossal salary and not playing.
After seeing how the biggest legends in the club, such as Raul and Casillas, got treated before and during their respective departures, Bale didn’t allow experiencing the same fate.
Ever since, the Spanish powerhouse wants him to leave and is accepting offers that go way below the player’s actual value.
Yet, Bale’s recent comments might bee some sort of signals that he changed his mind and wants to leave Santiago Bernabeu. He has a valid contract until the end of the 2022 campaign.
