Before Betting On GEICO 500

The GEICO 500 forms the tenth leg of the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2024 season this weekend. The field will compete over 500.08 miles in the Crown Jewel race. A total of 188 laps will be completed by the drivers at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, with each of the opening two stages consisting of 60 laps. The final stage will see the remaining 68 laps contested.

Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski are tied for the most race wins in the GEICO 500, with both claiming four victories during their prestigious careers. Meanwhile, Hendrick Motorsports have been the dominant team throughout the history of the race after landing eight victories.

Kyle Larson will be a prominent selection in the betting this weekend, with the former world champion sitting top of the current Drivers’ Championships despite his 21st place finish in last weekend’s Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400.

Martin Truex Jr has enjoyed a solid start to the new season after finishing in the top ten on five previous occasions, but he is yet to land a race win. Chase Elliott has quietly been going about his business this term, with his win last weekend lifting him up to fourth in the standings.
