  • Texas won a low-scoring battle over Texas A&M, defeating them by a score of 17-7.
  • These two teams last faced off back on October 19, in a game that Georgia won 30-15.

The Bulldogs and Longhorns enter this NCAAF game on pace to make the CFP. Our Georgia vs Texas prediction for the SEC title game involves the winner getting a first-round bye, while the loser advances as an at-large pick.

Georgia Aims to Double Up on Texas

Georgia’s best win of the season came on the road against Texas in a 30-15 result. They’re 4-1 since that game, but haven’t looked nearly as competitive. The Bulldogs got a legitimate scare from Georgia Tech last week and will be aiming to relight their fire against the Longhorns. Georgia’s Carson Beck will be tasked with being at his very best after a tumultuous season that has seen his draft projection drop from top-10 to out of the first round.

Texas Seeks to Avenge Loss in Title Game

Texas may have the most impressive results of any team if you exclude their double-digit home loss to Georgia. They’ll be salivating at the chance to get revenge for that game and win the SEC title in the process. That being said, the Longhorns face an uphill battle on a neutral field after losing at home. Texas is in the same situation as Georgia with an underperforming QB in Quinn Ewers who has seen his draft projection drop equally to Beck.

Georgia vs Texas Prediction: Longhorns Get Their Revenge

Throw the result of their last matchup out of the window for this one. It took place a month and a half ago and won’t be relevant to this game. With both teams full of talent and giving everything they have to win it, look for 11-1 Texas to claim a minor advantage over 10-2 Georgia. Unless one team comes out of the gate red-hot, expect this one to stay close. It may be surprisingly high-scoring as well. We see Texas winning it 30-27.
