The start of EURO 2024 is creeping into sight, and we may learn more about the host nation this weekend. Germany will be in action, as they welcome Turkey to the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, but can the EURO hosts continue their progression under Julian Nagelsmann?

Before Betting On Germany vs Turkey

It would be fair to say that Germany’s preparations for the EUROs next summer have been far from ideal. The nation have already moved onto a new boss after Hansi Flick was fired following a heavy loss against Japan in early September. But, an immediate response was evident in their following match after picking up a 2-1 success against France.

Julian Nagelsmann was appointed the full-time boss of the national side prior to last month’s international break, and he enjoyed a steady opening two matches in charge. Germany were excellent 3-1 winners in America against the USA, before they battled to a 2-2 draw against Mexico. But, further questions will be asked of the EURO hosts this weekend.

Turkey are one of the nations that Germany may come up against at the EUROs next summer, as their place at the major tournament is almost assured. The nation sits top of the Group D standings, but they hold six point advantages over both Wales and Croatia. Turkey have lost just once in seven qualification matches, but they have won four of their last five.

They were in excellent form in the previous international break, as they recorded a 1-0 success against Croatia, before backing up that success with a straightforward 4-0 victory against Latvia. They could once again be a dark horse contender at next summer’s EUROs.
