The New York Giants got caught looking ahead to their Thanksgiving Day matchup with a division rival, failing to take care of business in a 31-18 home loss to the Lions last Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys did not do that, going on the road to Minnesota and dominating the 8-2 Vikings in a 40-3 win. Dallas picked up a 23-16 win at MetLife Stadium in week 3, their 10th win in the last 11 head to head games against the Giants.
Before Betting on Giants vs Cowboys
New York let one get away last week in the 13 point loss to Detroit when they were -3 point favorites. That’s now two losses in the last three games for the Giants which includes a 27-13 defeat in Seattle and beating a really bad Houston team 24-16.
The Giants have still surprised people at 7-3 and are in prime real estate regarding an NFC wild card berth, but a loss on Thursday afternoon (which seems likely as double digit underdogs) really puts a dent in New York’s chances at an NFC East title. Philadelphia is running away with the division at 9-1, and with a win Dallas would complete the season sweep moving to 8-3 with the tie-breaker advantage.
This line looks a lot higher than it should be, but that’s because the Giants are missing 4 of 5 players from last week’s starting offensive line as well as their starting CBs. The Cowboys have been hit by illness as well which hurts their depth, but still remain pretty healthy at the top of their roster except for Micah Parsons being a bit banged up and listed as questionable.

Giants vs Cowboys Prediction & Pick
The Giants gave up 160 rush yards to the Lions last week and could only score 18 points against the league’s worst total yardage defense. Dallas meanwhile ran for 150+, threw for 300+ and kept Justin Jefferson and the explosive Vikings offense to just 3 points. Combine that with all of New York’s injuries and this one looks like a good second half to sleep through once the tryptophan kicks in on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Pick: Cowboys -10
