The NFC East is alive and well still in the 2023 NFL playoffs after the Giants beat the Vikings, the Cowboys handled the Bucs, and the Eagles had the bye in the wild card round. Obviously at least one team from the division will see their season end on when New York and Philadelphia duel for the third time.
The offshore sportsbooks like the Eagles by over a TD after they swept the regular season, but they also say it’s hard to beat a team three times in a single season in the NFL.
Before Betting on Giants vs Eagles
New York looked like a complete team in their 31-24 win over the Vikings last week in the Twin Cities, but there are also many who thought Minnesota was a fraud with 11 of their wins this season coming by single digits. Either way it was a win in coach Brian Daboll’s postseason debut as head coach, and QB Daniel Jones found his way into the record book as the first QB to throw for 300+ yards and 2 TDs while adding another 70+ on the ground.
It was an amazing playoff debut for Jones last week as well, but was perhaps more impressive was the Giants defense holding star Minnesota WR Justin Jefferson to 47 yards on 7 catches. The NY secondary gets another test this week with Eagles’ WRs A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith combining for nearly 2,700 yards with 18 TDs.
Lincoln Financial Field is going to be rocking on a Saturday night playoff game against a division rival, but the Giants actually fared well in Philadelphia in a 22-16 loss just two weeks ago in the regular season finale. New York didn’t play Jones or Saquon Barkley in that game after locking up the #6 seed the week prior, and the Giants defense held the Eagles to FGs on five of their six scoring drives.

You have to give Jones credit for his performance last week and the Giants defense was very solid as well. Philadelphia had the bye last week which always helps, but the hook in the +7.5 line is looming large here in a division rival playoff game.
