This Giants vs Seahawks matchup features two teams coming off of tough defeats. Each will be aiming to bounce back this week. Neither team is expected to be a contender, but it’s also too early to write them off.

Giants in Danger of Tanking Again

The Giants came up short against Dallas on Thursday night, losing 20-15. The defeat dropped New York to 1-14 in their last 15 games against the Cowboys. Despite continuing to lose to their bitter rival, the Giants did show some fight on Thursday. They have played three straight close games after their Week 1 blowout. Unfortunately, superstar rookie WR Malik Nabers suffered a concussion against Dallas, limiting New York’s offensive options.

Seahawks Return Home Needing a Win

The Seahawks were unable to improve to 4-0 on Monday night. They faced an uphill battle from the start, taking on the competitive Lions on the road in Detroit. The return of RB Kenneth Walker III helped Seattle’s offense score in the redzone, but their defense was thoroughly overwhelmed by the Lions. QB Geno Smith finished the game with 56 pass attempts as the Seahawks spent much of the game playing catch-up to Detroit’s 42 points.

Seahawks Set to Smother Giants

Despite this Giants vs Seahawks game featuring two teams coming off of a loss, Seattle is in much better shape. That was their first defeat of the season, dropping them to 3-1. An opportunity to climb back to 4-1 arises against the 1-3 Giants. Meanwhile, New York has improved quite a bit since being blown out in Week 1, but is still far from returning to a competitive level. We see the Seahawks winning this game at home 24-16.
