Goiti Yamauchi vs. Neiman Gracie is one of the most interesting 2024 PFL 3 matchups, along with the main event of the evening, which we’ve covered in our Andrey Koreshkov vs. Magomed Umalatov betting preview.

The No. 1 reason why we’re excited about the Yamauchi vs. Gracie fight is that this is the rematch of a 2022 fight that saw Gracie suffer his first, and so far, only loss by knockout.

Fast-forward to April 19 and the BJJ expert is plotting his revenge. Will his plan come to fruition? Judging by the PFL 3 odds, Yamauchi is likely to beat him again. That’s what bookies think, but what do we predict for the Yamauchi vs. Gracie 2 fight? Keep reading this preview to find out!

Before Betting on Goiti Yamauchi vs. Neiman Gracie 2024 PFL 3 Fight

Goiti Yamauchi is 28-6 overall with 21 of his wins happening by submission. The Japanese-born Brazil-based fighter is an expert in grappling, which is why he had no problems submitting a number of tough opponents in Bellator MMA, including Randy Couture’s son Ryan amongst others.

Goiti Yamauchi also defeated Neiman Gracie in Bellator, but not by submission. This is actually not surprising given that the son of the 8th-degree coral belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu Márcio Stambowsky is a fantastic grappler as well.

In fact, Gracie is a 2nd-degree BJJ black belt who’s got a submission-to-win ratio of 75%. He’s 12-4 overall with no losses by submission.

Neiman Gracie is arguably the best grappler in the PFL Welterweight Division, but the fact is that he’s not much of a striker. At least he wasn’t in the past when he got KO-ed by Yamauchi.

However, we think that he’s learned his lesson and that he’s spent the last couple of months polishing his striking skills. Will that be enough to get a win at PFL 3? We think it might.

Pick: Neiman Gracie
