Before Betting

The season-ending action on the LIV schedule takes place across the coming weekend, as the Team Championship will be determined. A staggering purse of $50 million will be up for grabs in the first LIV event to be held in Dallas.

A slightly different format will be in operation this year, with the top three teams in the standings all progressing through to the quarterfinal stage. Therefore, Legion XIII, Ripper, and Crushers will all enter on Friday.

Teams ranked between 4th and 13th will be in action in the first round, with the winning teams in head-to-head matches progressing through to the next round.

Interestingly, captains will have greater power this year, with the leaders of the respective teams determining whether to play in singles or foursomes across the opening two days.

Crushers come into the final weekend as the reigning champions after winning a thrilling final in Miami last year. They have the top seed after finishing at the top of the regular season standings under captain Bryson DeChambeau.

However, Legion XIII could be hard to overlook in the new format, as they have excellent strength in depth, which includes recently crowned individual winner Jon Rahm, and Tyrrell Hatton.

LIV Golf Team Championship Prediction

Crushers and Legion XIII both hold solid claims for the Team Championship this weekend. However, Smash GC could be the outside chance.

Talor Gooch and Brooks Koepka both have excellent experience in team golf events, and that know-how, coupled with their recent solid form after winning at Greenbrier, could see them be an interesting angle in the betting.
