Before Betting On Goodyear 400
A thrilling first half of the regular season in NASCAR will draw to its conclusion on Sunday, as the Goodyear 400 is the final race before the All Star break. It promises to be an exciting race, as the battle for top spot in the Drivers’ Standings continues. This race has been staged annually since 1952, with Darlington Raceway playing host.
A total distance of 400.238 miles will be covered on Sunday, which will be made up by 293 laps of the circuit. The first stage will see drivers compete over 90 laps, with the next 95 laps completed in the second stage. The winner of the race will be crowned after the final 108 laps. David Pearson is the most successful driver in the race’s history after winning on seven occasions.
Kyle Larson maintained his excellent start to the season after winning the AdventHealth 400 last weekend. That success maintained his advantage at the summit, and it means that he has now finished in the top three places in four of the last six races. Martin Truex Jr finished back in fourth last weekend, but he has remained ultra competitive throughout the campaign.
Chase Elliott once again looks to be a leading contender for the top prize this season after finishing in the top five in each of the last two races. William Byron could also be hard to ignore this weekend after previously landing three victories this season.
