After a two-week absence, UFC is back with the lightweight bout between Grant Dawson and Bobby Green.
Before Betting on Dawson vs. Green
Dawson is the division’s future, with the 29-year-old posting impressive results since coming to the division. He entered the most prominent fighting organization in the world through Dana White’s Contenders Series and posted nine victories and one draw since. The organization didn’t want to burn him too fast, slowly upgrading his rivals before deciding to hand him one main event.
This guy knows how to deal with all sorts of rivals, mainly because of his aggressive approach and excellent grappling and wrestling skills. Once he gets the opponent on the ground, Dawson is very powerful, and he almost always inflicts damage. In 22 events, he posted 20 victories, 13 of them via submission.
Bobby Green is a veteran of the sport. He has 37 years and has fought all the biggest names in the division, including Tony Ferguson, Al Iaquinta, Clay Guida, Dustin Poirier, Edson Barboza, Islam Makhachev, etc. He entered the octagon on 46 occasions, posting 30 wins, 14 losses, and one draw and no contest each.
Green was never an elite lightweight, but he presented a tough challenge for any rival he faced. Otherwise, he wouldn’t stay in the organization for so long. Overall, the veteran is a well-rounded fighter who knows how to fight both on the ground and in stand-up, yet he isn’t excellent in any of these areas.

Dawson’s youth and agility should be enough to beat Green. KGD, as the fans call him, has more power and, apart from that, looks much faster than the aged rival. With all due respect towards Green, his chances of winning here are very slim, so we have to pick Dawson to continue his winning streak.
