The top two in Group B at the CONCACAF Gold Cup will lock horns on Thursday, as Mexico look to book their spot in the next round of the competition. However, Haiti could also book their spot in the knockout round with a victory against one of the pre-tournament favorites.

Before Betting On Haiti vs Mexico

Mexico wasted no time in putting down a marker at the Gold Cup, as they were dominant winners in their opening match of the competition. It was the performance and result that fans would have been hoping to see after a disappointing run in the Nations League finals, which was ended with a loss against the United States.

But, they bounced back to form in pleasing fashion over the weekend, as they landed a dominant 4-0 success against Honduras. They wasted little time in getting their noses ahead, as they opened the scoring after just one minute through Luis Romo. Romo added a second before the half-time break, before efforts in the second half were later added by Orbelin Pineda and Luis Chavez.

Extra spice has been added to this fixture due to the fact that Haiti were able to land a famous win in their opening match against Qatar. That victory means that they could also secure their spot in the next round of the competition with maximum points against Mexico this week.

It was an excellent performance by Haiti, as they showed all their character to come back from 1-0 down. Their equalizing goal was scored on the stroke of half time by Duckens Nazon, before a dramatic winner was netted in the seventh minute of injury time at the end of the game. The winning effort was netted by Frantzdy Pierrot.

This should be an exciting match in the second round of matches in Group B. Haiti was excellent in their opening match, but this will be a tougher assignment against Mexico. Therefore, we will be siding with Mexico picking up the victory to secure their spot in the next round of the competition.
